David Huddlestone, the bloke who played Santa Claus in Santa Claus: the Movie, is 84 now and has well and truly outlived his co-star, Dudley Moore. Then upon closer looking I realized it was a spelling error and the E should have been chopped. Huddleston has long been a favorite actor of mine, appearing in many films and on many television programs. He's appeared in some of the same shows as dear old Uncle Wilfie, including The Waltons which ran for eons and just this year saw the passing of Papa Walton, who was nicely played by Ralph Waite.
